Shelter & Adoption

The shelter facility is our most important service. Abused, neglected & unwanted animals receive warmth, food & water, exercise, medical aid and TLC during their temporary stay at FCHS, The staff take great care and consideration to properly find permanent loving homes.

Education

School kids benefit from our pet education program that teaches children how to meet & approach animals, how to safely play with pets, responsible pet ownership and other important pet topics. We are happy to arrange shelter tours.

Pet Therapy

This program offers residents of nursing homes the opportunity to hold and pet a quiet, gentle animal. Interaction benefits both patient and pet in a very soothing, healing manner.

Lost & Found

We provide up-to-date listings of lost & found pets reported to our shelter. Many families have been happily reunited with their pets. If your pet is micro chipped, we can scan them upon arrival to ensure a quick return home.

Animal Abuse Investigating & Public Resource

FCHS is often able to direct the public to services which can help in animal abuse cases, behavior problems, health problems and other pet questions.
